Michelle Obama takes the stage.
Last night, I watched Michelle Obama deliver a very down-to-earth speech to kick off the Democratic National Convention in my once and former home of Denver, CO. What a speech it was. She was poised, polished, confident, and above all else–genuine. The strategy of having her give this introductory speech was brilliant. The Dem’s wrote a great script for Monday night, setting the stage with the Senator Edward Kennedy tribute and appearance, followed by the Obama family hour. Wow. It was nothing short of inspiring. If you missed it, The New York Times has an excellent feature including the video and a transcript.
