We have to be approaching the 20th anniversary of this question. The answer for which has been one of the most dynamic during the entirety of that timespan. I’ve asked it a lot over the years, and likewise had my opinion shift based upon the current standings among those in the field as well as the ever evolving HTML spec.
Returning to WordPress this week, I’ve realized what an amazing platform it is. However, it is far from being alone out there. But instead of getting into the weeds, I thought I’d just pass along this review pitting WordPress against SquareSpace, which I think clarifies not only that these two tools are apples and oranges, but helps you consider how to evaluate other tools you come across as you try to scratch that particular itch just outside your reach.
